Immaterial Damage

Intangible damage is damage that is not financial loss. This includes for example reputation damage and damage caused by damage to honour and reputation. In contrast to material damage, intangible damage cannot be valued on money, at least not according to objective standards. Intangible damage is therefore estimated on the basis of reasonableness and fairness. The opposite of intangible damage is material or tangible damage.
