Article 29 – Workgroup

Privacy law is supervised by the national supervisor. In the Netherlands, this is the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP). Each member state of the European Union (EU) has a national supervisor. All these supervisors are united with the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) in Article 29 – Workgroup.

Article 29 – Workgroup provides independent advice on privacy policy. The aim of the working group is to promote the uniform application of European privacy legislation. The working group regularly publishes guidelines on the explanation of privacy legislation.
