Big Data

Big data is a term that you often encounter in articles about privacy. The term refers to a large amount of (unstructured) information about individuals and groups that companies in particular possess. These companies connect (structure) all this data with each other. They then draw conclusions from this about certain persons or certain groups. They then use the image they get of the persons or groups to adjust the business strategy or customer approach.
