Brexit

Brexit is the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union. The word Brexit is a contraction of ‘British exit’. Brexit is the result of the consultative referendum held in the UK on June 23, 2016, where 51.9% of voters chose to leave the EU. On March 29, 2017, the British government announced its intention to withdraw. As a result, on 29 March 2019 and the contraction of ‘British exit’, the UK will be the exit of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU), following an advisory referendum held on 23 June 2016 whereby 51,9% of the voters chose to leave. The British government notified the intention to withdraw on March 29, 2017. As a result, the UK will exit the EU at 00:00 on 30 March 2019.
