E-commerce

E-commerce (also known as e-business) is the term used for e-commerce business. The internet, in particular, has caused a huge increase in e-commerce.

However, additional regulations exist for e-commerce. For example, a sale on the internet can be qualified as a distance purchase, and therefore the Distance Selling Act applies. Additional rules also apply to the obligation to provide information with regard to general terms and conditions: The user of general terms and conditions must not only make the general terms and conditions electronically available but must also ensure that the other party can save the general terms and conditions so that they can be recruited at a later date again.
