Net Neutrality

The principle of net neutrality indicates that internet users should have free access to all information available on the internet. The internet provider should treat all different types of data traffic equally. Moreover, data traffic should not be delayed or blocked.

However, statutory regulations regarding net neutrality include exceptions that allow different treatment of data. For example, an appeal can be made to the fact that treating data differently would lead to network congestion. Under this exception, for example, videos cannot be viewed on a WiFi network on the train.
