Undue Payment

If someone delivers service without a legal basis, there is undue payment. The person who has delivered this performance has the right to reclaim or undo what has been performed. Therefore, a legal obligation to repay arises.

The simplest example is a bank transfer to the wrong account number. The person to whose account the amount was transferred by mistake must repay this amount. Another example occurs when someone accidentally pays an invoice twice.
