Right to be forgotten

The right to be forgotten (also known as the “right to forget”) is a privacy right for European citizens. Under this right, you have the right to have incorrect or outdated privacy-sensitive information removed from archives.

Search Engines

In 2014, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that this right also applies to results of searches for a person’s name on an internet search engine, such as Google. The person for whose personal data is concerned, and who wants to invoke this right, will have to contact the search engine himself.
