Summons Letter

A summons letter is a letter in which someone is “summoned” to take certain actions. These are often actions concerning the execution of an agreement, but this does not necessarily have to be the case. Examples of these types of actions are the payment of outstanding claims, the cessation of an infringement of an intellectual property right or the cessation of insulting reports.

If the letter concerns a demand to pay one or more outstanding claims, it must, in any case, indicate a reasonable period in which the debtor must pay. It can also be declared that after the expiry of this term the debtor is in default, at least if the outstanding claims have not been paid.
