Before you request LAWFOX to carry out paid work, you can always ask for an initial estimate free of charge first. This can be done by e-mail (info@lawfox.nl) or by telephone (013 207 7 107). See also the contact page. Before LAWFOX makes an assessment or appointment, it is examined whether there is a conflict of interest. LAWFOX can only act for you if, in short, a counterparty is not yet a customer of LAWFOX.

In some cases, LAWFOX is obliged to determine the identity of the client, such as by means of a copy of the identity document and/or an extract from the commercial register. We will request this, if necessary.

Before LAWFOX proceeds to paid work, we will provide you with a written proposal (by e-mail). The agreements made, such as with regard to costs and activities, and agreed conditions are recorded. An authorized representative of your organization or company must agree on the offer. LAWFOX will then send an invoice for the agreed work. After payment, LAWFOX starts with the work that has been specifically agreed upon. In the event of very urgent cases, this procedure can be omitted and the work can be started immediately. Are you already a customer and do you already have an agreement with LAWFOX? It is then sufficient to designate any specific agreements by e-mail.

LAWFOX is transparent about its rates. LAWFOX’s lawyers offer the possibility to work on the basis of fixed prices, success fees, caps or hourly rates.

LAWFOX always gives you an insight into the expected costs in advance. You are therefore not obliged to do anything without an appointment. LAWFOX basically uses fixed-price agreements. Nevertheless, success fees are also possible. So you pay for the result and not for the time that LAWFOX is busy with the case unless that this is not reasonably possible or desirable. Consequently, you always have clarity about the costs and you know in advance where you stand.

The (fixed) price depends on the desired speed, the content and size of the case and the form of the work. This allows LAWFOX to meet the individual wishes of its customers better. The prices, therefore, depend on the specific facts and circumstances of your case. A concrete proposal can only be made after an initial assessment.

Third-party costs, such as court fees or bailiffs’ costs, are not included and will be charged separately. LAWFOX will, of course, inform you as much in advance as possible. In addition, keep in mind that during a process the need or wish may arise for the purchase of extra service.

General terms and conditions apply to the services of LAWFOX. The general terms and conditions limit the professional liability of LAWFOX to the amount to which the professional liability insurance entitles, namely € 1,000,000 per incident. The conditions also stipulate, inter alia, that Dutch law applies and that any disputes regarding the provision of services are settled by the Amsterdam court if no solution is reached via the complaints procedure.
