Why are you so Interested in Intellectual Property Law?
“What I find so interesting about IP law is that the simplest drawing is already protected by copyright. The law also states that art, photos, models and inventions can be protected with an exclusive right. Some of the questions that I personally think are interested are for example the following: When is something protected and how far does that protection go? We would also like to share photos on social media and play music at our party. The question here is whether there is an exception to the protection or to whom exactly compensation must be paid. I like to dive in there. ”
Where do you think this Interest comes from?
“I have been playing the violin passionately since I was seven and there you regularly come across intellectual property rights. Not only when it comes to copyrights in sheet music, but as a performing artist, you also have rights. That’s why I’ve always found this jurisdiction interesting. ”
Why have you Specialized in Privacy Law in addition to IP Law?
“Intellectual property law quickly turns into online rights. For example, a brand name is often used as a domain name, brand products are sold via the internet and photos are placed on the internet without permission. During my study, therefore, attention was also paid to other rights that arise online: the right to express yourself online and the right to privacy. Privacy law really appealed to me because, like IP law, it is still evolving every day. ”
What do you want to Achieve at LAWFOX?
